Q:Why do most preschools and childcare centers in Bend, charge an annual registration fee?
A: We can't answer for other schools in Bend but at Alphabet Academy we only charge a one time registration fee of $50.00 and then never again.
Q: Does my tuition rate go up every year?
A: No, the rate you enroll at never increases so long as your schedule and family size stays the same.
Q: What if I can't afford to pay a whole month in advance?
A: At Alphabet Academy, we attempt to cater to everone including offering weekly, bi-weekly and monthly payment plans.
Q: What are the ages of students that go to Alphabet Academy?
A: We accept students from age 2 until the 5th grade.
Q: Do school age kids come to Alphabet Academy all year?
A: Yes, kids in kindergarton all the way up to 5th grade come to our school daily. Then during school holidays, closures and vacations, we are available for full time care for these students as well.
Q: What holidays is Alphabet Academy closed?
A: We are closed only the major ones. We are closed for New Years Day, Memorial Day, The 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Weekend and Christmas Weekend.
Q:Do you have a school age summer time program?
A: Yes we do. We took lots of field trips last summer with the school age as we try and make this time of year fun for all of our school age kids. The kids last summer went to Cascade Swim Center, Papa's Pizza, The Old Mill Movies, Skating and many other field trips.
Q: Isn't Alphabet Academy a more traditional childcare center?
A: Yes, we do believe in letting the students celebrate holidays, have parties, celebrate birthdays, and take field trips. We also believe in teaching our students and preparing them for public school. They do arts and crafts, but also learn their letters, numbers, shapes, colors, beginning math and reading and of course manners. Alphabet Academy is more like a school, and less like a daycare. Couch Potato land doesn't exist here.
Q: Is AFS accepted at Alphabet Academy?
A: Yes we do accept AFS at our school.
Q: Do we have to pay full rate for vacations that our family take?
A: No, at Alphabet Academy we only charge parents 1/2 rate for the time they are gone on vacations.
Q: Does Alphabet Academy have an annual graduation?
A: Yes we have this ceremony for all of our graduating students in May of each year.
